Here’s everything you need to know about what makes our formulas safe, effective, and truly nourishing.
What are the different types of fragrances and how do they differ?
Fragrances are classified by their concentration of fragrance oils. Eau de Parfum (EDP) contains 15-20% fragrance concentration and lasts 4-6 hours. Eau de Toilette (EDT) has 5-15% concentration and lasts 2-4 hours. Eau de Cologne has 2-5% concentration and lasts 1-2 hours. Perfume (Extrait) has 20-30% concentration and lasts 6-8+ hours. We offer a range of concentrations to suit your preferences and budget.
How should I apply perfume for the best results?
For optimal fragrance performance, apply perfume to pulse points where your skin is warmest: wrists, inner elbows, behind ears, and the base of your throat. Spray from 6-8 inches away for an even mist. Avoid rubbing your wrists together, as this breaks down the fragrance molecules. For longer-lasting scent, apply to moisturized skin and consider layering with our fragrance body lotion.
How long does perfume typically last, and what affects longevity?
Fragrance longevity depends on several factors: the concentration level (Eau de Parfum lasts longer than Eau de Toilette), your skin type (oily skin holds fragrance longer), and environmental conditions. Most fragrances last 2-8 hours depending on the type. To extend longevity, apply to moisturized skin, use fragrance-free lotion first, and reapply as needed throughout the day.
How should I store my perfume to maintain its quality?
Store perfume in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat, as UV rays and temperature fluctuations can degrade the fragrance. Keep bottles tightly sealed to prevent evaporation and oxidation. Avoid storing in bathrooms where humidity and temperature changes are frequent. A bedroom closet or drawer is ideal. Properly stored perfume can maintain its quality for 3-5 years or longer.
